Article 12:
No one shall be subjected to arbitrary. interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honor and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১২:
কোন ব্যক্তিই তার গোপনীয়তা, পরিবার, বসতবাড়ি অথবা চিঠিপত্রের আদান-প্রদানে অযৌক্তিক হস্তক্ষেপের অথবা তার সম্মান ও মর্যাদার ওপর আক্রমণের শিকার হবেন না। এ ধরনের হস্তক্ষেপ অথবা আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে প্রত্যেকেরই আইনের আশ্রয় লাভের অধিকার রয়েছে।
Article 14:
(1) Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
(2) This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৪:
(১) শাস্তি এড়া‡নাi জন্য প্রত্যেকেরই অন্য দেশে আশ্রয় লাভ ও তা ‡ভাগ করার অধিকার রয়েছে।
(২) এই অধিকারটি বলবৎ হবে না সেসব মামলার ক্ষেত্রে যেগু‡লা মূলত অরাজনৈতিক অপরাধ বা জাতিসংঘের লক্ষ্য ও নীতি বিরুদ্ধ কার্যকলাপ হতে উদ্ভূত।
Article 15:
(1) Everyone has the right to a nationality.
(2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৫:
(১) প্রত্যেকেরই জাতীয়তার অধিকার রয়েছে।
(২) কাউকেই অযৌক্তিকতভাবে তার জাতীয়তা হতে বঞ্চিত করা যাবে না অথবা তার জাতীয়তা পরিবর্তনের অধিকার অস্বীকার করা যাবে না।
Article 16:
(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৬:
(১) জাতি, জাতীয়তা অথবা ধর্মের ক্ষেত্রে সীমাবদ্ধতা ব্যতিরেকে, পূর্ণবয়স্ক পুরুষ ও নারীর বিয়ে করার ও পরিবার গঠনের অধিকার রয়েছে। বিবাহ সম্বন্ধে, দাম্পত্য জীবনে ও তা অবসানের সময় তারা সমান অধিকারপ্রাপ্ত হবে।
Article 16:
(2) Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৬:
(২) বিবাহের পাত্র-পাত্রীর স্বাধীন ও পূর্ণ সম্মতি নিয়েই কেবল বিয়ে সম্পন্ন হবে।
Article 16:
(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৬:
(৩) পরিবার হ‡লা সমাজের প্রাকৃতিক ও মৌলিক গা‡ষ্ঠী একক এবং সমাজ ও রাষ্ট্র কর্তৃক সুরক্ষা পাওয়ার অধিকারপ্রাপ্ত।
Article 18:
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৮:
প্রত্যেকের চিন্তা, বিবেক ও ধর্মের স্বাধীনতা রয়েছে। এই অধিকারের মধ্যে রয়েছে তার ধর্ম বা বিশ্বাস পরিবর্তনের স্বাধীনতা, এবং একাকী বা ‡গাষ্ঠীগতভাবে অন্যদের সাথে এবং প্রকাশ্যে বা ‡গাপনীয়ভাবে, প্রচার, চর্চা, প্রার্থনা ও উদযাপনের মাধ্যমে তার ধর্ম অথবা বিশ্বাস প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা।
Article 19:
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.
অনুচ্ছেদ ১৯:
প্রত্যেকেরই মতামত ও অভিব্যক্তি প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা রয়েছে। এই অধিকারের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হ‡লা বাধাহীনভাবে মতামত তুলে ধরা এবং যেকো‡না যা‡গা‡যাগ মাধ্যমের সাহায্যে ও ভৌ‡গালিক সীমা বিবেচনা ব্যতিরেকেই তথ্য ও ধারণা অনুসন্ধান করা, গ্রহণ করা ও সরবরাহ করার স্বাধীনতা।
Article 20:
(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
(2) No one may be compelled to belong to an association.
অনুচ্ছেদ ২০:
(১) প্রত্যেকেরই শান্তিপূর্ণ সমাবেশ ও সংগঠন করার স্বাধীনতা রয়েছে।
(২) কো‡না ব্যক্তিকেই জোরপূর্বক কো‡না সংগঠনের সদস্য করা যাবে না।
Article 20:
(3) The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures.
অনুচ্ছেদ ২০:
(৩) জনগণের অভিপ্রায়ই হবে সরকারের ক্ষমতার ভিত্তি; এটা প্রকাশ পাবে নিয়মিত সময় ব্যবধানে ও প্রকৃত নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে যেটা হবে সর্বজনীন ও সমান ‡ভাটাধিকারের মাধ্যমে এবং অনুষ্ঠিত হবে ‡গাপন ‡ভাট অথবা সমমানের স্বাধীন নির্বাচন কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে।
