Steven Paul Jobs ( 24 February 1955 – 5 October 2011) , most popularly known as Steve Jobs was the co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. He was the pioneer of the personal computer revolution.

স্টীভেন পল জবস (২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি ১৯৯৫-৫ অক্টোবর ২০১১) হচ্ছেন অ্যাপেল Inc. এর সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠাতা, সভাপতি ও প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা, যিনি স্টিভ জবস নামে বিশেষভাবে জনপ্রিয়। তিনি হচ্ছেন ব্যক্তিগত কম্পিউটার বিপ্লবের অগ্রদূত।

He was famous for his career in the electronic field of computers and consumers. This became possible through the marketing of Apple computers.

তিনি কম্পিউটার ও ভোক্তাদের যান্ত্রিক ক্ষেত্রে তার পেশার জন্য বিখ্যাত ছিলেন। এটা সম্ভব হয়েছে অ্যাপেল কম্পিউটারের বাজারজাতকরণের মাধ্যমে।

In 1985, Jobs left Apple after losing a power battle with the board of directors. He then founded NeXT, a computer platform development company specializing in the higher education and business market.

1985 জবস পরিচালক পর্ষদের সাথে ক্ষমতার লড়াইয়ে হেরে গিয়ে অ্যাপেল ছেড়ে দেন।তিনি তখন এনইএক্সটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন, যেটা উচ্চতর শিক্ষা এবং ব্যবসার বাজার বিশেষজ্ঞ একটা কম্পিউটার উন্নয়ন প্লাটফর্মের একটি কোম্পানি।

On the other hand, Apple failed to bring up any new operating system during Job’s absence. Jobs returned to Apple as an adviser, and took control of the company as an interim CEO.

অন্যদিকে জবসের অনুপস্থিতিতে অ্যাপেল অবশ্য নতুন কোন পরিচালনা পদ্ধতি বের করতে পরে নি। জবস অ্যাপেলে ফিরে আসেন একজন উপদেষ্টা হিসেবে এবং একজন অন্তবর্তকালীন প্রধান নির্বাহী অফিসার হিসেবে কোম্পানির নিয়ন্ত্রণ নেন।

By 1998, Jobs brought back Apple to profitability from the verge of bankruptcy. He supervised the development of iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone and iPad. These devices are so simple and user friendly that even a child can operate them.

১৯৯৮ সালের মধ্যে জবস অ্যাপলকে দেউলিয়াত্বের দ্বারপ্রান্ত থেকে লাভজনক অবস্থানে ফরিয়ে আনেন। তিনি আইম্যাক, আইটিউনস, আইপড, আইফোন এবং আইপডের উন্নয়ন কার্যক্রম তত্ত্বাবধান করেন। এই যন্ত্রগুলো খুবই সরল এবং ব্যবহারকারীর জন্য এতই সহজ যে, শিশুরাও এগুলো পরিচালনা করতে পারে।

He supervised the company’s Apple Stores, iTunes Store and the App Store too. The success of these products and services brought about steady financial returns for several years and pushed Apple to become the world’s most valuable publicly traded company in 2011.

তিনি কোম্পানির অ্যাপেল স্টোরগুলো, আইটিউন স্টোর এবং অ্যাপস্টোরও তত্ত্বাবধান করেন। এসব উৎপন্ন দ্রব্যের এবং সেবার সাফল্য কয়েক বছরের মধ্যে কোম্পানির অর্থনৈতিক মুনাফা এনে দিয়েছিল এবং ২০১১ সালে অ্যাপলকে পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে মূল্যবান বাণিজ্যিক কোম্পানি হিসেবে পরিণতকরে।

This triumph is regarded as the greatest turnarounds in the business history. Steve Jobs has been highly acclaimed as a visionary leader. Jobs has changed people’s perspective computer, and how they use it, consume personal media, and how they communicate with each other.

এই বিজয় ব্যবসায়-বাণিজ্যের  ইতিহিসে সবচেয়ে বড় পরিবর্তন বলে পরিচিত। স্টিভ একজন স্বপ্নচারী নেতা হিসেবে বিশেষভাবে সংবর্ধনা জানানো হয়েছে। তিনি কম্পিউটার সম্পর্কে মানুষের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বদলে দিয়েছেন, কীভাবে তারা এটি ব্যবহার করবে নিজের ব্যক্তিগত যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম ব্যবহার ভোগ করে এবং কীভাবে একজনের সাথে অন্যজন যোগাযোগ করে।

Hence i-Books, i-Phones, i-Pods and i-Pads have become extremely popular. Jobs saw and felt the need of Wi-Fi (wireless internet connection) in laptops.

তাই আই-বুকস, আই ফোনস, আই-পডস ও আই-প্যাডস অত্যন্ত জনপ্রিয় হয়ে পড়েছে। জবস ল্যাপটপে ওয়াই-ফাই (তারবিহীন ইন্টারনেট সংযোগ) এর প্রয়োজনীয়তা লক্ষ এবং অনুভব করেন।

It is who made Wi-Fi a standard feature of every laptop, and of many other devices worldwide. So Jobs’ dream to be anywhere anytime became a reality.

তিনিই ল্যাপটপ ও পৃথিবীব্যাপী অন্যান্য যন্ত্রে ওয়াই-ফাইকে একটা নির্দিষ্ট মানের বৈশিষ্ট্য দিয়ে তৈরি করেছেন। এভাবে জবসের স্বপ্ন- যেকোন সময়ে যেকোন জায়গায় উপস্থিত থাকা বাস্তব হয়েছে।

Jobs also co-founded and served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios. He became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, when Disney acquired Pixar.

জবস পিক্সার অ্যানিমেশন স্টুডিওস এর সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠাতা এবং নির্বাহী হিসেবেও দায়িত্ব পালন করেন। তিনি ২০০৬ সালে ওয়াল্ট ডিজনি কোম্পানির পরিচালক পর্ষদের সদস্য হন, যখন ডিজনি পিক্সার অর্জন করেন।
