A Bus Journey I Have Recently Made
Last month I made a journey from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar. It was a very exciting and enjoyable experience. I had long desired to see the sea beach. When my school closed for vacation, my parents planned a trip. I was very happy to hear the news. We packed our bags and made all the preparations for the journey.
On the fixed day, we reached the bus terminal early in the morning. We bought our tickets and took our seats. The bus started at 7 a.m. At first, the roads were crowded. Slowly the traffic became lighter. The bus ran smoothly through the highways. I looked outside the window. I saw green fields, rivers, trees, and small villages. The scenery was very beautiful. It filled my heart with peace and joy.
Sometimes the bus stopped at restaurants for tea and breakfast. We got down and had some snacks. Then we again started our journey. The weather was clear and pleasant. I talked with my parents and enjoyed the time. Some of the passengers were singing songs. It created a cheerful mood in the bus.
After about ten hours, we finally reached Cox’s Bazar. We hired a rickshaw and went to our hotel. After some rest, we went to the sea beach in the evening. It was my first sight of the sea. The vast blue water touched the horizon. The waves came and touched my feet. I felt great joy in my heart. I collected shells from the sand. I also rode on a horse near the beach. The sun was setting in the west. The red sun over the sea looked very charming.
We stayed there for three days. We visited different places like Himchari and Inani beach. We also enjoyed delicious seafood. Every day we walked on the beach and played with the waves.
The journey was really memorable. It gave me much pleasure and knowledge. I will never forget this journey in my life.

Last month I made a journey by train from Dhaka to Chattogram. It was one of the most pleasant journeys of my life. I had long wanted to travel by train, because I had heard many interesting things about it. When my uncle invited us to visit Chattogram, my father decided to go there by train. I became very happy.
On the day of the journey, we reached Kamalapur Railway Station early in the morning. The station was full of people. Some were waiting, some were buying tickets, and some were busy with luggage. The porters were carrying loads. The vendors were selling tea, water, fruits, and newspapers. The whole place was noisy but cheerful.
Soon the train arrived at the platform. We entered our compartment and took our seats beside the window. After a few minutes the train started to move. Slowly it left the station and began to run faster. I felt excited as the train whistled and sped along the tracks.
The scenery outside was very beautiful. I saw wide green fields, rivers, canals, and rows of trees. Sometimes small villages appeared with huts, ponds, and children playing. Farmers were working in the fields. Birds were flying in the sky. All these sights filled me with joy.
The train stopped at several stations. At every station, some passengers got down and some got in. Vendors entered the train to sell bananas, guavas, and tea. I enjoyed looking at them. We also had our breakfast with bread and eggs that my mother had packed.
As the train moved forward, the gentle breeze came through the window. It made the journey more pleasant. I talked with my parents and read a storybook for some time. After about seven hours, we reached Chattogram station. We got down from the train with happy hearts.

or, A Boat Journey I Have Recently Made
Last winter I made a journey by boat from my village to my uncle’s house. It was a wonderful and peaceful experience. I had always loved boats, and I was very happy when my father said we would go by boat. My uncle’s house is about ten kilometers away from our village, and the easiest way to reach it is by river.
On the morning of the journey, the sky was clear and the weather was calm. We went to the riverbank and hired a boat. It was a medium-sized boat with a bamboo roof. The boatman was very friendly. We got into the boat and sat comfortably. Soon the boat started moving slowly.
The river was calm and quiet. The water was shining in the sunlight. I saw fishermen catching fish with nets. Some were sitting in small boats and throwing their nets skillfully. On both sides of the river, I saw green fields, tall trees, and small villages. Birds were flying in the sky and some were sitting on the branches of trees. It was a very beautiful sight.
Our boat passed under a bridge. Some boys were standing on the bridge and waving at us. I also waved back at them. As the boat moved on, we saw women washing clothes on the riverbank and children swimming in the water. The sound of the boatman’s song added more charm to the journey.
We carried some food with us. At noon we ate rice and curry inside the boat. The gentle wind made the journey very pleasant. Sometimes I dipped my hand in the cool water and enjoyed the waves.
After about three hours, we reached my uncle’s village. We got down from the boat and thanked the boatman. The journey gave me much joy and peace.
A boat journey is really a delightful experience, especially for people who live in a riverine country like ours. I will always remember this journey with happiness.
