Note: A poem is a kind of literary writing. It has some characteristics. Two of them are Stanza and Rhyming.
Stanza: A stanza is a group of lines in a poem. It consists of two or more lines arranged together as a unit. Most poems are divided into stanzas. A stanza in a poem is like a paragraph in an essay.
Rhyming: The similar sounding words at the ends of the alternate lines of a poem.

An article is a word that comes before a noun to show whether the noun is specific or not. In English grammar, the articles are a, an, and the.”

Example: In the illustration, there is a man. The man is reading a newspaper. [In the first sentence ‘a man’ is not specific but in the second sentence ‘the man’ is the specific man mentioned in the first sentence.]

In English there are two types of articles-

Definite Article (the): The is used to refer to particular nouns.

Indefinite Article (a and an) are used to refer to any noun which is not particular. Remember that ‘a’ and; an’ are used only before a singular noun.

On his right, a woman is teaching a girl. The woman might be the boy’s mother and the girl is his sister. Sitting on a chair, an old lady is knitting. The lady might be the grandmother.

Last week I interviewed a new friend at my school. His name is Raju. He is in class seven. He lives in Rangamati. He gets at least 2 hours of free time everyday. In her pastime he likes to gardening. Because flowers are his favorite. Besides, flowers enhance the beauty of his home yard. He occasionally buys seeds from nurseries to plant flowers in his garden. It costs him some money. He needs help from others to work in the garden. His younger sister helps him in this work. According to him, gardening is an environmentally friendly activity. It does not harm the environment; rather it enhances the beauty of the environment. Other members of his family also like his work a lot. His father encouraged him a lot in gardening. According to Raju, everyone should have a favorite hobby. Because a favorite hobby makes people’s leisure time joyful and enjoyable.

 

Chapter-5: Together We are a Family

Activity 5.9 The teacher/peer/both observes the students’ practice of democratic skills (e.g., students’ ability to listen to others attentively, respect others’ opinions and respond logically) during a classroom discussion.

My mother is very caring. She takes care all the members of our family. She is affectionate to us. My younger brother is a polite boy. He never tells a lie. And I am very punctual. I like to do my work on time. We live a happy family.

Why are these qualities important to me?

  • It’s important, because we can make a better society by helping others.

As a student, I must study regularly. I should not waste my time. I must go to school regularly and join the class attentively. I should respect my teachers. A student should not look for his responsibilities only in studies. He must serve the society. So I also have to stand by the helpless people around me. I should not hate the poor. Always extend a helping hand to them. Along with the society, I should love my country. I must come forward for any need of the country.

First, students in groups of 4-6 will share their experience of collecting information from their friends and what they said.

My experience on the poem “Pakapaki”

In the text, I will share my experience of collecting information from friends about their liking of Bangla book and poetry.

At first, I prepared a set of questions about Bengali poetry. Then we have a group discussion and get to know many things We are both very curious to know one’s answer.

My friend’s favourite poetry is “Pakapaki“. The poetry is very lyrical and easy to memorize. That is why, he/she likes the poetry.

Most interesting thing is that both of our favorite poem is “Pakapaki“. My friend was taking more time to answer my questions. So, it was very challenging to complete this activity timely. But finally we have completed the task within just time and submitted this copy to our teacher. I have really enjoyed this activity of collecting information from my friend.

 

পাকাপাকিকবিতা নিয়ে আমার অভিজ্ঞতা

এই লেখায়, আমি বন্ধুদের কাছ থেকে বাংলা বই কবিতার পছন্দ সম্পর্কে তথ্য সংগ্রহের অভিজ্ঞতা শেয়ার করব

প্রথমে বাংলা কবিতা নিয়ে একগুচ্ছ প্রশ্ন তৈরি করেছিলাম। তারপর আমরা একটি গ্রুপ আলোচনা করি এবং অনেক কিছু জানতে পারি আমরা দুজনেই একজনের উত্তর জানতে খুব আগ্রহী।

আমার বন্ধুর প্রিয় কবিতা “পাকাপাকি”। কবিতাটি খুবই গীতিকবিতাপূর্ণ এবং সহজে মনে রাখা যায়। সেজন্যই সে কবিতা পছন্দ করে।

সবচেয়ে মজার ব্যাপার হল আমাদের দুজনেরই প্রিয় কবিতা হল “পাকাপাকি”। আমার বন্ধু আমার প্রশ্নের উত্তর দিতে আরো সময় নিচ্ছিল। সুতরাং, সময়মতো এই কার্যক্রমটি সম্পন্ন করা খুবই চ্যালেঞ্জিং ছিল। কিন্তু অবশেষে আমরা নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছি এবং এই অনুলিপিটি আমাদের শিক্ষকের কাছে জমা দিয়েছি। আমি সত্যিই আমার বন্ধুর কাছ থেকে তথ্য সংগ্রহের এই কার্যকলাপ উপভোগ করেছি।
