Oh, They say my house is no good, But what can I build with nothing here? I’ll erect a home, Yet how long will I truly stay? I gaze into the mirror, Noticing the strands of grey in my hair. Thinking of this, Hason Raja never built a dwelling. Where will Allah take him? Where will he find rest? This uncertainty brings him to tears. If only Hason Raja had known his days. He would have painted his rooms in vibrant hues. Oh, They say my house is no good. But What can I build with nothing here? |

লোকে বলে বলেরে ঘর বাড়ি ভালা নাই আমার কি ঘর বানাইমু আমি শূণ্যের মাঝার। ভালা কইরা ঘর বানাইয়া কয়দিন থাকমু আর, আয়না দিয়া চাইয়া দেখি পাকনা চুল আমার। এ ভাবিয়া হাসন রাজায় ঘর-দুয়ার না বান্ধ, কোথায় নিয়া রাখবো আল্লায় তাই ভাবিয়া কান্দে।
জানত যদি হাসন রাজা বাঁচব কতদিন, বানাইত দালান-কোঠা করিয়া রঙিন।

(a) People say that Hason Raja’s house is not good. They think it is not well-built or strong.
লোকে বলে যে হাসন রাজার বাড়িটা ভালো নয়। তারা মনে করে এটা ভালোভাবে তৈরি বা মজবুত নয়।
(b) Hason Raja wants to build a home. But he wonders how long he will actually live is it, so he does not find it important.
হাসন রাজা একটি বাড়ি বানাতে চান। কিন্তু তিনি ভাবছেন যে তিনি আসলে কতদিন বাঁচবেন, তাই তিনি এটিকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মনে করেন না।
(c) Hason Raja thinks he will not stay in his home for a long time. Life is uncertain, and he does not know he will leave this world.

(g) If Hason Raja had known how many days he had left to live, he would have painted his house in beautiful, bright colors to make it look nice.
হাসন রাজা যদি জানতেন যে তাঁর আর কত দিন বেঁচে থাকতে হবে, তাহলে তিনি তাঁর বাড়িটিকে সুন্দর দেখানোর জন্য সুন্দর, উজ্জ্বল রঙে রাঙিয়ে দিতেন।
(h) Hason Raja wants to paint his rooms with vibrant or bright colors. This shows that he wishes he had made his home more beautiful if he had known how long he would live.
হাসন রাজা তার ঘরগুলো উজ্জ্বল বা প্রাণবন্ত রঙে রাঙাতে চান। এর থেকে বোঝা যায় যে তিনি যদি জানতেন যে তিনি কতদিন বাঁচবেন, তাহলে তার ঘর আরও সুন্দর করে তুলতেন।
(i) Hason Raja wonders where Allah will take him after death. He does not know where he will rest after leaving this world.
হাসন রাজা ভাবছেন মৃত্যুর পর আল্লাহ তাকে কোথায় নিয়ে যাবেন। তিনি জানেন না এই পৃথিবী ছেড়ে যাওয়ার পর তিনি কোথায় বিশ্রাম নেবেন।
(j) Hason Raja never built a home because he believed life is temporary. He felt there was no use in building a strong home when he had to leave this world one day.
হাসন রাজা কখনও বাড়ি তৈরি করেননি কারণ তিনি বিশ্বাস করতেন জীবন ক্ষণস্থায়ী। তিনি অনুভব করেছিলেন যে একদিন যখন তাকে এই পৃথিবী ছেড়ে চলে যেতে হবে তখন একটি শক্তিশালী বাড়ি তৈরি করে কোনও লাভ হবে না।

(y) This poem influences me to be thoughtful about human life. It makes me decide that I have to lead a religious and honest life to be blessed with heavenly pleasure after death.
এই কবিতাটি আমাকে মানবজীবন সম্পর্কে চিন্তাশীল হতে অনুপ্রাণিত করে। এটি আমাকে সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে বাধ্য করে যে মৃত্যুর পরে স্বর্গীয় আনন্দ লাভের জন্য আমাকে একটি ধর্মীয় এবং সৎ জীবনযাপন করতে হবে।
