An Honest Schoolboy

One day. Ayat, a schoolboy, was going to school on foot. While walking, he found a bundle of money on his way to school. He took the bundle of money and went to his class teacher. His class teacher took Ayat and the bundle of money to the Headmaster who was a very prudent (বিচক্ষণ) man. The Headmaster, counting the money, found that it was Tk 25,000. He, discussing the matter with all other teachers came to a decision. The decision was that they would announce the matter of finding the money. The Headmaster wrote a statement to be announced that “A bundle of money has been found and the genuine (প্রকৃত) owner is requested to take the money by giving proper proofs from the office of H.M.S High School.” Accordingly, the announcement was made across the surrounding villages. On the other hand, Mr. Nazimuddin, a small businessman was desperately (অত্যন্ত) anxious losing Tk 25,000. In fact, while going to market to buy his commercial goods, he dropped the money unconsciously on the way. He thought that he would never get back the money. But when the announcement reached his ears, he got delighted thirrking that he might get back his lost money. He rushed (ছুটে যাওয়া) to school instantly. The teachers noticed a great worry in his eyes and face. The Headmaster asked him, “How much money have you lost?” Mr. Nazimuddin told the amount with the appropriate numbers of different notes. The teachers were convinced (নিশ্চিত), Moreover, no other men came to claim (দাবি করা) the money. They handed him the money. Mr. Nazimuddin expressed great gratefulness to the teachers and their student Ayat for enabling him to get back

the lost money.
