The poet also says that a book brings us to another land or age. Finally he believes that one should read books as they contain all things for the readers. Like the poet I also think that reading books has several benefits. It gives us idea about different people, society, culture, age etc. Thus we can increase the horizon of our knowledge. Besides, reading books is a pleasant pastime.

Answer:
I) According to the poet, reading a book can do wonderful things to us. He says as we read a book, new ideas and people appear in our imagination. In other words, we get acquainted with new Ideas and people through our mental faculty. The book transports us, as the poet says, to another world or era where we find someone who may become our chosen friend. The pages of the book gradually take our mind to that wonderful world or age. In short, a book contains all sorts of things that readers like.
