Saint Martin’s Island is a small coral Island in Bangladesh’s Bay of Bengal. It’s a popular tourist destination and a breeding ground for sea turtles. It is like a pearl dot in the Bay of Bengal. It is situated at the entrance of Bangladesh- Myanmar border river Eff Naaf. The old name of this Island Is. Narikel-Jinjina means coconut garden. In 1717 a Christian Priest father Mantin came in this Island and since then it has been named as Saint Martin’s Island. You can go form Teknaf to & Saint Martins on bow wooden boats or sea truck. The water surrounding the Saint Martin’s Island is clear and blue. Everyday many tourists visit Saint Martin’s and enjoy the scenic beauty of the island.
