There is a dialogue between two friends about the importance of mobile phone.
Ariyan : Hello Safwan. how are you?
Safwan : Iâm fine Ariyan. Whatâs about you?
Ariyan :Â Iâm o.k. I want to talk to you about the mobile phone.
Safwan: Everybody knows about the usefulness and benefits of the mobile phone. Itâs a wonderful invention modern science. I know it has added a new dimension to our life and communication system. But is it an unmixed blessing?
Ariyan : Hey, have you ever stopped to think about just how much we rely on our mobile phones these days?
Safwan: Oh, definitely. It’s crazy to think about how much of our daily life is tied to them now. I mean, we use them for everythingâcalls, messages, work, entertainment, even health tracking.
Ariyan: Yeah, exactly! It’s like a mini computer in our pocket. I canât imagine going a day without it. Just think about how much information we access, from news updates to maps and directions.
Safwan: Right? And the convenience is unbeatable. I can order food, buy groceries, pay bills, and check the weatherâall from one device. It’s like a whole world in your pocket. Plus, the fact that we can connect with anyone, anywhere, anytimeâit’s just mind-blowing.
Ariyan: True. And it’s not just about staying connected with friends and family. Phones have transformed how we work too. Remote work wouldn’t be possible for many people without mobile technology.
Safwan: Absolutely. Iâve attended meetings, answered emails, and even worked on presentationsâall from my phone. It’s made things so much more flexible. But it’s also a double-edged sword, don’t you think? Weâre always connected, which means thereâs not much room to âswitch off.â
Ariyan : Good point. Thereâs definitely a downside. I mean, constant notifications, social media pressure, the feeling that you have to be available all the timeâit can get overwhelming. Sometimes I wish I could just take a break from it all.
Safwan : I feel that too. Itâs hard to find balance, especially with everything being so easily accessible. But at the same time, mobile phones help us stay organized. I use mine for reminders, calendars, task listsâstuff Iâd never be able to keep track of otherwise.
Ariyan : Yeah, the productivity apps alone make a huge difference. Theyâre game-changers for staying on top of things. And donât even get me started on the health apps. Phones can track your steps, monitor your sleep, and even give you mental health tips.
Safwan : Thatâs true. I think thatâs one area where phones have really made a positive impact. They give us the tools to be more mindful of our health. But, I agree with youâfinding a balance is key. Maybe using our phones more intentionally, rather than constantly reaching for them out of habit.
Ariyan: For sure. Maybe we should set some boundaries, like designated phone-free times or turning off unnecessary notifications.
Ariyan: That sounds like a good idea! Itâs all about finding that balance between staying connected and being present in the moment.
Safwan : Exactly. The mobile phone is an incredible tool, but we need to make sure it serves us, not the other way around.
Ariyan:Â You are right. I never thought of these drawbacks.
Safwan :Â Though there are some demerits of a mobile phone, it is useful to the people of all professions in communicating with people at home and abroad.
Ariyan :Â Thank you very much for giving me such valuable information about the mobile phone.
