Composition: Punctuality
Punctuality refers to the habit of a human being completing their tasks on time. We can say that punctuality is a great habit which surely results in success. All the leaders have punctuality in common as the habit is such. In other words, when you are on time, you will maintain the discipline and order in your life. It will, in turn, help you achieve your goals faster within a set time period.
Our life is short but work is long. We shall have to do a food deal of works in our short span of life. It is only being punctual that we can do much work in our life. We should try to form the habit of punctuality forms our boyhood. It cannot be acquired overnight. It must be acquired step by step.
It is very important for the merchant. A merchant has to do a lot of business in a day. If he is not punctual, he cannot command the confidence of his customers. It may cause serious loss to hint.
It is easier to loiter and kill valuable time. It is much easier to put things off and say we will do it tomorrow. In this way, we may get into bad habits easily. It is easy to form a habit but it is difficult to break it. So when we get into bad habits it becomes difficult to get out the right time. The best motto to keep before us is “Do it now,” It is very useful to the students. A punctual boy reads while it is time to read. He learns his lessons in proper time and, therefore, fares well in the examination. He is crowned with success and he makes his life glorious.
A lazy boy can never prepare his lessons on time. He is sure to lag far behind his friends who are earnest and punctual. And as a result, he will miserably fail in the examination. A soldier who is not punctual, is really an enemy of the country he belongs to, for he may not turn up to his duties in time when an enemy attacks his country. As a result, his country may fall and lose its independence.
We may recall hearing the defeat of Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo. He would not have been defeated it his general grouchy had come to meet him in time. Nelson, the great British General, said that his success was mainly due to punctuality. Punctuality saves a lot of time and saves one from a lot of inconveniences. It is the root of all success in life.
