My Books

I love my books

They are the homes

of queens and fairies,

Knights and gnomes.

Each time I read I make a call

On some quaint person large or small,

Who welcomes me with hearty hand

And lead me through his wonderland.

Each book is like

A city street

Along whose winding way I meet

New friends and old who laugh and sing

And take me off adventuring!

আমার বইগুলো আমার খুব প্রিয়

এরা আমার রানি ও পরি

এরা আমার বীর ও যক্ষদের ঘরবাড়ি!!

যখনই আমি পড়ি আমি দেখা পাই

একজন আগুন্তকের, ছোট বা বড়ো

যে আমায় স্বাগত জানায় আন্তরিক হাতে

আর আমায় নিয়ে যায় তার আজব দেশে!!

প্রতিটি বই যেন এক একটি শহরের রাজপথ

যার ঘূর্ণায়মান পথে দেখা হয়ে যায়

নতুন আর পুরানো বন্ধুদের যারা হেসে খেলে

আমায় রোমাঞ্চিত করে।
