A School Library

A school without a library is unthinkable these days. It has books on various subjects, newspapers, journals, and magazines. Students, especially those who want to broaden their knowledge, go to the library in their vacant periods and study. A library is the heart and soul of an institution. It is the storehouse of books and repository of knowledge. Our school is located in the heart of the city. It is housed in a palatial building with a large and very good library. The library has got two reading rooms adjoining a hall for boys and girls.We are really proud of having a very rich library in our school. Our school library is a great attraction for us. It is said that a library is a store house of knowledge which can help a men to satisfy his desire for knowing the unknown. Our school library has also a very rich collection of books on various subject namely novels, fictions, story books, poetry books, plays, autobiographies and periodicals- all arranged in a systematic way in our well decorated library. Books on religion and sports are also available here. Our school library is housed on the 2nd floor of our academic building. Attached to the library there is a well furnished reading room for the student and the teachers. A pin drop silence prevails in the reading room. An efficient and well qualified librarian handles the activities of the library. He is assisted by three person who are expert in finding out books to the readers. There exists a calm, quiet and serene atmosphere in our library. Books are issued against library. Books are issued against library cards. The school library is a good way to develop general knowledge. The students beget studious habits. It creates a taste for books after school life. The library creates a love for books among the weak boys. It gives opportunities to make the best use of our leisure time. It gives us day-to-day information about the world. In fact, our college library is a part and parcel of our school.
