Folk songs are song sung in the traditional style of a community or country.

লোকগীতি একটি সম্প্রদায় অথবা দেশের প্রথাগত রীতিতে গাওয়া হয়।

Here the traditional style includes the themes, words and tunes of the songs that have existed for a long time among the common people.

এখানে প্রথাগত রীতির মধ্যে অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকে বিষয়বস্তু, শব্দসমূহ এবং গানগুলোর সুর, যেগুলো মানুষের মধ্যে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে বিদ্যমান থাকে।

We have a rich history and collection of folk songs in Bangladesh.

বাংলাদেশে আমাদের লোকগীতির একটা সমৃদ্ধ ইতিহাস ও সংগ্রহ রয়েছে।

Of them Palligiti, Bhatiali, Bhawiya, Jari, Sari, Gambhira, Lalomgiti, Palagaan and songs of Hason Raja are very popular.

এগুলোর মধ্যে পল্লিগীতি, ভাটিয়ালি, ভাওয়াইয়া, জারি, সারি, গম্ভীরা, লালনগীতি, পালাগান এবং হাসন রাজার গান খুবই জনপ্রিয়।
