Once a lion was sleeping in a cave. A mouse was playing nearby. While playing happily it ran over the face of the lion. It awoke the lion. At this, the lion grew very angry With the silly mouse. The mouse became very much frightened and he said to the lion, Oh king of the jungle, I am a very tiny creature. I made a great mistake, please forgive me this time. I may be of some help to you at any time.”
Hearing this, the lion smiled and let the mouse go. One night the mouse heard the roar of a lion. Having reached near the sound, he saw the lion trapped in a hunter’s mouse began net. The mouse gave his identity and requested him not to shout. Then  the mouse began cut the rope with its sharp teeth. The lion expressed his gratitude to the mouse. The mouse said in reply, “Even the smallest creatures can be of great help to giants.”
Moral: A kindness is never wasted.

Once a lion was sleeping in a forest. Suddenly, a mouse came there. It did not notice the sleeping lion. It was running about and playing happily. Accidentally it ran over the face of the lion. It awoke the lion. At this, the lion grew very angry. It caught the mouse and said, âYou little creature, how dare you disturb me! Iâll kill you.â The mouse got frightened and said, âYour Majesty, if you kill a little creature like me, it will not bring any credit to you. Please, excuse me for this time.â The loin felt pity and let the mouse go.
The mouse thanked the lion and said, âIf I get a chance, Iâll help you.â The lion laughed and said, âA little creature like you can never help me as I am a big creature.â After a few days, the lion was caught in a hunterâs net. It tried hard to be free but failed. So, it began to roar helplessly. Hearing the roar of the lion, the mouse came quickly and said, âSir, please wait. Iâll help you.â The . mouse cut the net with its sharp teeth and set the lion free. The lion was very happy and said, âThank you little mouse. You have saved my life. Now, I know even a small one can help a big one.â

Spare me my life this time, donne or later i may help youâ Out of pity the lion let the mouse go. At this the mouse became very happy. It left the place hurriedly. Some days after the lion was caught in a hunterâs net.
The lion tried hard but could not get out. He began to roar. The lion was in tension. He thought that the hunter must kill him. So he began to cut the net applying all his efforts. But he failed to come out of the net The lion began to make roar. At that time the mouse was eating grass nearby. He heard the roar of the lion. It at once came to the net and said, âYour Majesty, please be quite. I will cut the ropes of the net With my little teeth. Then you will get free.â The lion thought that it was making fun with him. The mouse was a tiny animal so it was not possible for it to cut the net. However the lion told it to do its work quickly. Then the mouse started cutting the net.
After some time the mouse cut the net into pieces with teeth and set the lion free. The lion got relieved. By this time the lion knew the mouse. The lion said, âDear little friend, you have saved my life. Even a little mouse can do a great good to a mighty lion.â The mouse replied that it was simply an insignificant task done for the lion. rf he mouse again said âI am very grateful to you. You could have killed me on that day. I will never forget your forgiveness.â
Moral : Help may come from the smallest of your friend.
