My dear Sindid,

I don’t know why you didn’t attend the annual sports day of our school. However, I cannot but tell you about our interesting sports day.

The annual sports day of our school was held on 15thJanuary. On this occasion, our school building and surroundings were nicely decorated with flowers, colour-papers and festoons. A large pandal was built in front of the school building. The first session of the day began at 8 a.m. At first the players paraded the ground. Then the scout leader of our school lit the Olympic torch. Next the DEO attending the function opened the sports day freeing pigeon over the sky. The sports began at 10 a.m. The selected events of the day were high jump, long jump, athletics, skipping, chair-sitting, discus-throwing, cock- fight, sack race, three legged race etc. “Dress as you like” and “Harivanga” for the invited guests were the most attractive events of the day. I took part in three events and came first in the long jump.

The games came to an end at 4 p.m. The prize giving ceremony began at 4:30. The chief guest was the local MP. After delivering speeches was over, the chief guest distributed prizes among the winners. Truly speaking, I enjoyed all the day but I missed you all the time. No more today. With good wishes.
