Before the beginning of the 20^th century, pearls were obtained from pearl oysters.

বিংশ শতাব্দীর শুরুর পূর্বে মুক্তা-ঝিনুক থেকে মুক্তা সংগ্রহ করা হতো।

These oyster were collected from the bottom of the ocean, lake or river.
