TRUTH

Boy, at all times tell the truth,

Let no lie defile the mouth;

If thou’rt wrong, be still the same ———

Speak the truth and bear the blame.

Truth is honest, truth is sure;

Truth is strong, and must endure;

Falsehood lasts a single day,

Then it vanishes away.

Boy, at all times tell the truth,

Truth is steadfast, sure, and fast——-

Certain to prevail at last.

এবং কীভাবে, কখন এবং কোথায় তুমি কথা বলছো।

সত্য/ ন্যায়

ছেলে, সর্বদা সত্য কথা বলো,

কোনো মিথ্যা যেন, তোমার মুখকে অপবিত্র না করে;

যদি তুমি ভুল করো, একইভাবে স্থির থাক, ———-

সত্য কথা বলোএবং নিন্দা/ অপবাদ সহ্য করো।

সত্য সৎ, সত্য নিশ্চিত;

সত্য শক্তিশালী এবং অবশ্যই টিকে থাকে,

মিথ্যা কেবল একদিনের জন্য টিকে থাকে,

তারপর এটি অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়।

ছেলে, সর্বদা সত্য কথা বলো,

কোনো মিথ্যা যেন, তোমার মুখকে অপবিত্র না করে;

সত্য অবিচল, অবিশ্যম্ভাবী এবং দৃঢ়/ ক্ষিপ্র—-

অবেশেষ নিশ্চিতভাবে জয়ী হবে।

Central Theme: (FIVE THINGS)

The main theme of the poem “FIVE THINGS” by Caroline Lake Ingalls is the way of acquiring wisdom or prudence. The poet opines that we can gain wisdom from our daily treatment of people in society. We need not, as the poet believes, go far for gaining knowledge. Rather if we become careful at the time of dealing with people, our wisdom will get developed day by day. We should speak to people by observing five things carefully – to whom, of whom, how, when and where we speak. In fact, by observing these things, we can certainly develop our judgmental power and prudence.

In the poem “TRUTH” the theme centers on the value of honesty and authenticity. It explores the nature of truth, the power and significance of truthfulness in relationships, personal integrity and the pursuit of genuine connections. The poem also focuses on the point that truthfulness always triumphs over falsehood.
